Gena Morgan
Executive Director

As the executive director of Elevate Health, Gena Morgan leads the organization’s strategic direction, cultivates cross-sector partnerships, and oversees initiatives that strengthen Pierce County’s health and social care systems.
Gena’s leadership is rooted in the belief that complex social challenges require collaborative, systems-level approaches. Her career has been defined by innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to equity—principles that guide her leadership at Elevate Health. Her expertise in strategic planning, program management, and organizational development ensures Elevate Health remains a trusted convener and catalyst for change.
Gena has more than 25 years of experience in public health, nonprofit leadership, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Elevate Health in 2022, Gena held senior roles at HealthierHere and Seattle-King County Public Health, where she led regional health transformation efforts focused on equity and collaboration. She also directed strategic initiatives at PATH, a global health nonprofit, and managed national programs at Microsoft to support small and mid-sized businesses. Her early career included leading communications for Agros International, a nonprofit focused on alleviating rural poverty in Central America.
Gena holds a master’s degree in international development from Georgetown University and a BA in international relations from Claremont McKenna College. An active volunteer leader, Gena has served on the board of Passages Northwest, a nonprofit organization supporting leadership development in girls and young women, and Dwankhozi Hope, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to supporting rural schools in southern Africa. In her spare time, she trains with and teaches kettlebells as a certified StrongFirst instructor, and bikes, hikes and skis with her husband and teenage son.
