Tell Us a Little About Yourself

I am a Pierce County native and grew up lacing up a different sports shoe for practically every day of the week. My love for all things sports led me to play collegiate volleyball at Pacific Lutheran University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in communication along with a minor in psychology. My love for the game has extended into my professional career – I am a firm believer in the strength of collaboration and working alongside my peers to create a positive impact in the community. I have had the privilege of volunteering with TACID for the past five years, where I currently serve as the Board Treasurer. In this capacity, my responsibilities include the oversight and management of the organization’s finances. My role aims to ensure that every financial decision aligns with our mission of creating opportunities and fostering inclusivity for individuals with disabilities in Pierce County.

I find joy in the simple pleasures of life and am committed to my family – a true homebody at heart. I cherish spending quality time with my loved ones. Outside of work, you will often find me immersed in a good book, attending/watching a local sporting event, or cheering from the sidelines supporting my kids in all their endeavors.

Do You Have Any Pets?

I have an 11-year-old Maltese/Chihuahua mix, Roxie. For being such a small creature, she has a BIG personality

Do You Have Any Hobbies?

I am an avid reader and am also a big sports fan – my family and I enjoy going to Mariners, Sounders, and Seahawks games. We also purchased a new home recently and are enjoying turning this home into our forever home (although my husband may not use the word ‘enjoy’ as he is doing all the renovations while making my visions come to life!)

What is Your Favorite Way to Relax?

Going to the beach with my family. I could spend hours sitting in the sand listening the waves crashing and wading in the water.

When and Why Did You Join Elevate Health?

I started the 2024 year off as a brand-new employee to EH and cannot think of a better way to dive into this new year! My experience with TACID helped play a pivotal role in leading me to become involved with Elevate Health. The mission of Elevate Health is also deeply ingrained in community service – exemplifying a steadfast commitment to positively impact the well-being of all individuals in Pierce County, ensuring equal access to healthcare for all.

What Kind of Work Do You Do at Elevate Health?

Its primary objective encompasses overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, in addition to performing administrative tasks that contribute to the seamless daily functioning and operations of Elevate Health.

Stanley & Seafort’s – especially on a clear day when you can enjoy dinner and a view of the water.
