As communication becomes increasingly digital and text-based, the lines between personal and professional can get blurry—especially for front line community workers. To support those navigating these challenges, Elevate Health is offering a free virtual training on May 7, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
Led by Training Institute: People Incorporated, this online session will explore the appropriate use of self-disclosure in professional relationships. Participants will gain tools to determine when sharing personal information builds trust—and when it might cross a line. As social media and digital platforms play a growing role in client communication, finding this balance has never been more important.
The training will dive into best practices, including how to plan ahead for difficult conversations, how to build rapport without compromising professional integrity, and how digital communication impacts boundaries.
Learning objectives include:
Understanding the purpose and function of self-disclosure
Identifying effective, situational self-disclosure
Navigating the influence of social media and tech on professional boundaries
Registration is required, and attendees will receive a calendar invitation reflecting the correct time zone. For questions or support with registration, participants can contact Laureen Tomich (Laureen@elevatehealth.org), Alli Toren (Alli@elevatehealth.org) or Aphrodite Sauser (Aphrodite@elevatehealth.org).
