When Tacoma Community House moved into a new headquarters, they saw an opportunity to invest in long-term sustainability through solar energy. The challenges were timing and upfront cost.

One Pierce, Elevate Health's social impact fund, partnered with Tacoma Community House on a bridge loan. By providing short-term financing, One Pierce allowed Tacoma Community House to move forward quickly with their solar installation without disrupting their ability to deliver critical programs and services.

Today, the building is covered in solar panels, reducing Tacoma Community House’s energy costs by about 70% and freeing up more resources for the people they serve.
