Elevate Health's Board of Directors will vote on a proposed amendment to the organization's bylaws at its meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. In accordance with Section 4.1.4 of our bylaws, we are providing this notice to the public at least ten days in advance of the vote.

What is proposed: The amendment would update Section 4.1.4, which defines the sectors represented on our board and the number of seats designated for each. Currently, all 17 board seats are assigned to one of 14 specific sectors. Under the proposal, the board would retain designated seats for the sectors required under Washington's Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP): primary care, behavioral health, Medicaid managed care plans, hospitals and health systems, local public health, Tribal partners, and community-based organizations addressing the social determinants of health. The remaining nine seats would be designated as “general member” seats, open to individuals from any sector. The total number of board seats would not change.

Why we are making this change: As we prepare for the final years of the MTP waiver, Elevate Health is planning for what comes next. We will continue to meet all state requirements for board composition under MTP. At the same time, we want the flexibility to recruit broader, cross-sector representation and to bring on the skills and expertise that will support Elevate Health's long-term sustainability. The proposed amendment preserves our commitment to balanced representation across community, government, health and social support partners while giving the Board room to grow to better meet our region’s needs.
