OnePierce Aids Mission-Driven Organizations to Advance Behavioral Health Equity

$200,000 of trust-based funding aids six Pierce County organizations
OnePierce Community Resiliency Fund (OnePierce), the investment arm of Elevate Health, recently issued $200,000 in grant monies to fund projects aimed at improving health equity in Pierce County, the second-most populous county in the state. These grants were made through the OnePierce Behavioral Health Equity Challenge.
Six mission-driven organizations that serve residents of Pierce County were chosen to receive a total of $200,000 in funding for behavioral health services and programs that seek to advance health equity. Recipient organizations will receive up to $50,000 each. Recipients of funding were chosen for their dedication to improving behavioral and physical health integration.
Specifically, the funds will support programs that aim to expand the capacity of behavioral health services, reduce stigma, lower burdens on outpatient mental health and reduce the need for intensive and crisis services for children and families. Examples of awardee projects include: expanding service outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness, co-locating mental health services in public buildings, and hosting youth talk circles. - Pierce County Library Foundation
- Recovery Café Orting
- RISE Center
- Tacoma Urban Native Alliance
- Pacific Islander Health Board

OnePierce Community Resiliency Fund (OnePierce) is the investment arm of Elevate Health. With the support of funders, OnePierce distributes loans, grants and innovation funds to help community organizations provide whole-person health and bridge health equity gaps in Pierce County.
OnePierce has leveraged $4 million in original capital from Elevate Health into more than $8 million in commitments to support the Pierce County community.
