By Elevate Health

Our Community Advisory Council was the first to reconvene in the new year, and it had a packed agenda for the first meeting of 2019. They reviewed practices and procedures, as well as held elections for Chair, Co-Chair and the Board of Trustees liaison.

Most of our councils took a break in late December after spending time to plan for 2020. Our Community Advisory Council met in December for a holiday party, and was the first to reconvene in the new year on January 7, 2020. It had a packed agenda for the first meeting where the group reviewed practices and procedures, as well as held elections for Chair, Co-Chair and the Board of Trustees liaison.

This year we are beginning all of the CAC meetings with five minutes of Tai Chi Chih. This moving meditation helps to relax, heighten energy, and balance the body. The council found it to be very effective and all of the CAC members enjoyed the experience and were able to focus on the agenda items without any distractions.

The CAC held elections for 2020 with the following results:

Following elections, the council reviewed an orientation packet for new members, including its charter, timeline, and goals for 2020. The CAC meeting concluded with a presentation on OnePierce Community Resiliency Fund from its Program Director Lauren Fulton.
