Request for Applications: Medical Respite Care Infrastructure Support
October 27, 2025

Elevate Health is requesting applications for Medical Respite Care
Elevate Health is requesting funding applications from current and prospective medical respite providers that are prepared and qualified to build the infrastructure needed to make Medicaid-eligible medical respite services available in Pierce County.
Medical respite care plays a vital role in community health by providing short-term, recovery-focused care for people who do not have a stable and safe place to heal but are not sick enough to stay in the hospital. Without access to medical respite care, individuals often cycle in and out of hospitals, face worsening health conditions, and drive higher overall health care costs.
Pierce County does not currently have any Medicaid-eligible medical respite beds. This new funding is intended to build the infrastructure needed to make Medicaid-eligible medical respite services available, addressing a critical gap in our community’s continuum of care.
DEADLINES AND DETAILS
Applications must be completed via this online form by 4:00 p.m. on November 21, 2025. Funding decisions will be made by December 10, 2025.
