Elevate Health Community Conversations is a series of public events, sponsored by Elevate Health in collaboration with community partners and local organizations. Community Conversations aim to heighten public awareness about issues pertaining to health, health equity and health related social needs in the South Sound Region. Trauma-Informed Approaches and Motivational Interviewing
This training, which took place on Thurs., October 12, 2023, featured a participatory and conversational approach to train first responders, law enforcement, managed care organizations, community health workers and more on the human-centric approach to communication. The training was delivered by Dr. Merle-Batty, LMHC, CMHS, Ph.D. Dr. Merle-Batty’s approach relies on trust-driven collaboration, which blends empathy and direct communication for optimal success.
